A New Place

After living in our current place for about 14 plus years, we are moving.  Looking back, finding this place to rent was something God had done.  We have moved from Texas and didn’t know where to find a place to live with 3 young children.  Looking for a condo or house for rent, I started looking for a place near the church I was serving in (Martinez) but couldn’t find anything within our budget or size.  When I was desperate, God had provided the place we ended up which was more expensive location and better school district.

It was a great location (we didn’t know then) and since we moved in, the landlord had been gracious and kept the rent way below the market price.  Now, he is trying to sell the place.  As he gave us a notice to vacate the place by end of Feb., it was a shock for us.

We were shocked because we thought we will see our kids all finish through their high school while we are living here but the Lord had a different plan.  As I was preparing for 2016 (in late Dec.), it seems though God had placed in my heart to focus on the theme of “Journey of Faith” in 2016.  So the journey of faith began with my life.  Having to move when rent is very high and our income hasn’t changed much.  Moving when there are less vacant places to find.  3 beds and 2 baths are too high and unrealistic for us.  We didn’t know how to handle this new challenge we faced.

We have agreed  to move in even though we haven’t seen the place yet because I am confident that if this is the place God had prepared for us, it will be perfect for us.  Maybe not what we asked for but it will be a great place for us.

“‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the LORD”  (Isa. 55:8).  His thoughts are more deeper than mine and His ways are far better than mine.  I hope and pray that you, too, will trust in Him regardless what you face today or tomorrow.

Have a blessed week!
