Ingrown Toenail

Ingrown_nail_002I am sure all of us had an experience of ingrown toenail before.  It hurts!!!

Ingrown toenail happens because, as the name gives away, a toenail is grown inward than outward.  The main reason for that is due to a pressure from outside whether a tight or narrow shoes or even socks or stockings that are too tight. This ingrown toenail causes a pain beyond toe and in a severe case, surgery is required.

There are some Christians who become like an ingrown toenail.  All they want is how the church will minister to them, care for them, and cater toward them.  They become more of pain than pleasure.  A person becomes an ingrown Christian when he focuses on reaching in than reaching out as the Great Commission tells us.  Jesus said, “Go out” (italic added by me)!

I hope whenever I have an ingrown toenail, I would reflect on myself and see if I have become narcissistic Christian.  Not only it hurts me but it hurts the body of Christ.  Let’s grow outward!

Have a blessed week!
